Type: Making Connection

A part of this book where Kathrine, Michael, Michael's sister and her husband went skiing and Michael had to help Kathrine get off the lift by pushing her off, and help her down a ski path. It reminds me of the time when I went to go ski and my friend Via had to help me get off and help me ski down an about 30 ft starter ski path. (Don't judge me...)

Book: Forever by Judy Blume
Type: Literary Criticism

In the book of Forever, I noticed a strange type of writing from the author. What the writing is like, is it gives you enough information to be able to image a few parts and no more, a very strict amount of revealing information. Now this writing is very different from most other authors, as others describe every carpet strand, or give about as much information as saying blue is the colour of the sky to a colourblind person. This is different, and why I think it is different is to leave enough info for the reader to make up some of the story imagery in their head instead of sticking to one image or none.

Q:What if us somewhat God was like the stages of grief? (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance.)

A: I think this could be, as these stages don't always come in the respective order. As soon as God found that Adam and Eve ate some of the apple, he left and the two felt depressed by the loss of their saviour. Right after that Cain and towns after turned to violence and what can be explained by anger. Acceptance of God still being here starts with Moses and every prophet connected with God, onward. The bargaining came when Jesus came and everybody begged for him to touch them, they touch him, and to stay and travel with him.

In this I will compare the laws of the Christians and ones related to God to the law of modern day. Well for starters there is the sixth law which is to not murder and the law is the same between both modern and bible law, the seventh and eight as well which is do not commit adultery, or rape of a child, and considering rape of any age in normal law is illegal and stealing is also illegal from anywhere. Those are about all laws I could find that I could compare.

One part of Forever has gotten me a bit mad! It's this part where after a party, Michael and Kathrine returned to Kath's house and spent some time alone... where Michael got into Kath's underwear while she said nothing. This kinda pisses me off considering that they have been together for barely a month and they are already very sexual. Especially Micheal who tried to pull his thing out on Kathrine when she didn't want him to.

Type: Making Connections

I feel like I can make a connection with in this book to real life, as with when Kathrine's grandparents warn Kathrine about sex and pregnancy. My dad constantly warns me about not getting a girl pregnant and never leaves me alone about it no matter how much I say that I won't, and gets me peeves me as it does with Kathrine and her grandparents.

In the current part of my book, Kathrine and Michael had private time in a room in Kathrine's house. After some kissing Michael tried to get under Kathrine's shirt to take it off. When Kathrine said no Michael stopped and said sorry, but because of what happened I feel like at some point of the book Michael will try to get sexual again, disobey Kathrine when she says no and basically rape her causing them to break up and Michael to be arrested for sexual assault.

This story reminds me of a movie I saw called The Fault In Our Stars (which story line is copied from the book of it) in the sense of two people falling in love almost admittedly with each other while dealing with an problem or an emotion. Katherine and Michael, the characters of Forever, seem to try to deal with their emotions making them seem insecure while Hazel and Augustus, the characters of The Fault In Our Stars, deal with cancer and another deals with another problem called osteosarcoma.

Nearly at the very beginning of this book it talks about a few girls who obsessively have sex just to feel better. I know I am young but I have had a few friends who have had or want sex so they can feel loved. And just as in the book some of the girls have talents such as the smarts to do anything but barely notice that and feel often sad and lonely and crave sex.

So I have had a semi-recent experience where one of my really close friends got bad grades and her grandparents threatened to take her back to her country. I was really scared and down that she was going to go away and I was never going to see her again and I couldn't do anything. My friends tried to help me to believe she'll stay or come back but I didn't listen to them. When I was going to sleep I started thinking and hoping that she'll stay. The next day she came to school saying that she'll stay if she can keep good grades and I was very happy when my friends said they'd kick in to help. What I think happened, is when you even have faith, even if you are an atheist such as I, whatever is anywhere does its miracles.

Type: My Testimony

Even though I'm an atheist, I feel like there is (kinda) some experience with God.
While moving on into high school, I was always treated by my family and other people in a bad way. When during the summer I felt like committing suicide at that time. When I came to North Shore I felt things become different because people started to treat me well, especially Brithney Neal, who I still live for today.
During the time I came out of my anger and depression I felt as something, or even maybe God, was with me to help show me these people.

Spiritual Walk 1

Spiritual Walk Blog - 1
Topic: Questions and Answers

Q: Why is there still sin in the modern world?

A: One, to test the evil of mankind. Two, some of you are deserving of the sins of others (beatings, etc). Three, to test the good souls and see if they are willing to protect others. That is all I will say.

Type: The Natural World

A few days back when it was raining extremely hard, but after the rain the sky was a very beautiful. I brought this up because it kinda reminds me of what I've been told and read about God, and that he is a very powerful being that can allow some type of bad things happen (considering people may have caught colds/may have died in that weather) but he also allows beautiful things to happen as make some peoples dream come true of seeing a wonderful sky and such.
